As fall approaches, Riverbend Farm will begin its 20th year in the pumpkin business. We are growing 20 acres of pumpkins with, hopefully, a few surprises. Guests on the weekends will discover one major change and two new attractions: the location of the wagon ride to and from the pumpkin fields and 5 pens of Heritage turkeys and two "mules pulling" a manure spreader.
We've had our farm open to the public on weekend for the last eight years during the month of October. A lot of building had to happen before we felt we offered enough activities for the public to enjoy. If you will look around on your next visit, every building with the exceptions of the Corn Crib and the Tool Shed was built or put back together by Farmer Jim and helpers.
